I'm sure I can help you find the patterns you need, but I guess I should find out what you're comfortable with making, and what you're willing to try, first :) By "curves" I'm assuming you mean something that wraps around, like a glove or a jacket? Items that have a circular shape are usually knitted with circular needles or on double-pointed needles; neither are difficult but it can be intimating at first if you haven't worked with them before.
You would be able to get away with knitting the scarf and mittens as flat items which you then sew two sides together to make the mittens into a tube to fit a hand, but the booties and hat can ONLY be done on DPNs and/pr circular needles. Trust me, once you start using DPNs and circs, you won't look back :D
