Placement determined! (sorta)
May. 22nd, 2008 05:18 pmI'm in Aichi-ken, placed at the prefectural level, so apparently where I'll be living and teaching hasn't been determined. But I'm back in Aichi, where Nagoya is. This is good, right? Maybe? Please Jesus, let this be good...

Date: 2008-05-22 10:16 pm (UTC)In my opinion, high school >>>>> Elementary school >>>>>>>>>>>>> Jr. High XD Education's only compulsory up to middle school, so if you're at the high school level, the students at least KIND OF want to be there and learn. Whereas at my school there more likely to just walk out of class if they're bored. Which they do often.
With HS, at least you'll feel like you're making a difference. Plus the kids are closer to your age, so you might be able to relate to them more, and they'll love that. I'd actually probably have given more than a passing thought to recontracting if I'd been a HS ALT :D

Date: 2008-05-22 10:24 pm (UTC)As for elementary, I just like how kids still fear your adult authority. That and you can toss them around and do silly things like singing songs and dressing up for Halloween. But like I said, I'll make it. And Tokyo isn't far from Aichi, so I'll be able to come up fairly often! XD

Date: 2008-05-23 03:26 am (UTC)mostAmerican states, I'm not worried that I won't be able to see them. It's not Tokyo, but Tokyo is far to busy and bustling for me anyway. XD Nagoya is much more down to earth, even though it is still a big place.no subject

Date: 2008-05-24 03:01 pm (UTC)And BoEs are bad? I've heard people complaining about them, but doesn't working for the prefecture mean I have to deal with CIRs and really high official people? Though
