So what if I slept through orientation?

It seems that I have to remind myself not to develop crushes on men whilst drunk, because when the morning inevitably comes, I can't figure out why I liked the guy in the first place. Oh alcohol, the evil things you do to me...

Tokyo Orientation was overall a very dry and boring event. I missed the only two presentations I was interested in (Team-Teaching and Creative Use of Classroom Materials) because my foot decided it didn't like life and wanted to detach itself by way of pain. Not too fun. Unfortunately, the big foreign boss-lady in my town caught me skipping out and didn't seem too happy about it. Hope that doesn't come back to bite me in the ass!

Tomorrow I head out to my prefecture via bullet train, and I'll probably meet my supervisor and do all of that "I'm a new foreigner, teehee!" stuff. UFJ apparently closed down the bank account I had previously, so I have to go through that process all over again. Damn.

On the good side of things, the new JETs from my prefecture had a karaoke night out, wherein we sang badly and got drunk. They seem like a really good group of people, and it looks like I'll have a good support system should I need it. Next weekend is supposed to be party weekend, and I surely do plan to live it up!

All right, off to bed with me. Gotta be up bright and early to head out, and I want to look like I'm partially awake when I meet my new boss. ^^;;

If the delivery confirmation on those packages is correct, you should have received two boxes by now. You are waiting on one more with confirmation number 0307 0020 0005 1821 7420. Everything can just be sold but the BeBeautiful stuff (Kizuna and Viewfinder) and the Balgus REC Death Note stuff (Taikutsu, Pieta, God's Eye). Those can go for a lot of money if put up for auction, since they are so rare. Everything else is pretty standard fair. I really just needed to get rid of them, as I still had another 85lbs box in my room when I left of stuff I was keeping. I think I might be a pack-rat. ^^;; When nearly everything is sold, a check to my father will be fine. Hopefully it'll help pay for this new washer/dryer machine I want to pick up. :D

This first week is killing me! I already wanna punch somebody and it's only been three days. I need some good rest right about now. Are you coming down for the fireworks? Oh, and when are you leaving for Tokyo? Apparently I have that Friday off (yay, no nenkyu!), so I'll be coming up Thursday night if I can manage. Guh, I have no money for the shinkansen, what to do?!

I think I am going to skip the fireworks this time but thank you again for the invite. I was planning to leave thursday morning for Tokyo as then i can meet up with Nicola in the afternoon.

As for money, there is a cheaper night bus that you can catch Thursday evening and you would arrive Friday morning (i think) but that would leave you dead for Friday. Otherwise I am not sure what is the cheapest way to get to Tokyo.

Yup, I'll be there on Saturday (Friday I'm still in Nagoya due to my boyfriends flight leaving the next day). I probably won't make it before 12 or 13 though as I have to see my SO off :)
