Another question for the knitters

Hey all you knitting fends! I want to make a baby winter set for the baby I'm looking after now, but I want a pattern this time, as my "just go for it!" attitude made my last hat pretty difficult. Basically, I'd like to make a baby hat, mittens, scarf, and booties if I can. However, I have absolutely NO idea how to do anything with curves in it? I know I can look for myself, but being the novice that I am, I'm never sure if a pattern is really easy or harder than it looks. If anyone has any patterns or videos that they love, I'm all ears.

After you find something you like the look of, then you can narrow it down to finding similiar patterns, or with using that particular one, and researching the kind of yarn you need and needle size(s) and whether any of the stitches are unfamiliar and need to be learned first.
If I come across a stitch I don't know how to do, I usually head to YouTube and watch this lady's instructional videos. She's very clear speaking and shows the techniques very well, and I've learned most of my more complicated stitches straight from her.
Good luck! :)

Date: 2009-09-25 01:08 am (UTC)Feel free to bug me any time if you have questions or get confused about anything. And I would definitely suggest starting as early as possible -- you tell yourself now that you've got a whole month, but that time will fly faster than you think when you've got a project to finish ;)
